南宋中后期告身文书形式再析

摘 要

依据除授方式的区别,告身分为制授告身、敕授告身与奏授(旨授)告身。制授告身对应高层任命,敕授告身承载特旨除授,奏授告身则反映由吏部奏上的常规注拟与迁转。南宋中后期是告身制度的末期,告身书式高度精简、稳定。以武义南宋徐谓礼文书的发现为契机,结合其他存世告身文献,本文总结出这一时期的一般告身书式,并试图以政务运行的眼光,再次分析其文本所反映的政治结构与行政运作流程信息。告身盛于唐宋,作为当时普遍行用的除授凭证,其发展与唐宋间职官体系的变迁同步,是唐宋国家政治体制变化的反映。伴随选任制度的变迁与除授文书体系的调整,作为一种独立文书类型,告身的核心意义由凭证向象征转移。

Abstract

Depending on the methods of official appointments,the appointment certificate Gaoshen(告身)could be categorized into three groups,including Zhishou(制授)Gaoshen,Chishou(敕授)Gaoshen,and Zoushou(奏授)Gaoshen. The third one was also called Zhishou(旨授)Gaoshen. In particular,Zhishou(制授)Gaoshen was mainly used for senior appointments,Chishou Gaoshen was used for special appointments,while Zoushou Gaoshen was used by Shangshu Libu(尚书吏部).This paper summarizes the formats of various Gaoshen documents by working on extant Gaoshen,especially newly discovered Xu Weili’s official documents. In studying the format of these Gaoshen,the change of central political structure and administrative procedure in the Tang and Song periods became clear. It seems that the textual content of the Gaoshen does not always match the political practice in reality. In the meantime,as an important genre of official documents in the Tang and Song dynasties,the Gaoshen shifted its importance from a certificate of official appointment to a certificate of a symbolic appointment.
